The Electrical Department at Miracle Educational Society organized an industrial visit to Aurobindo Pharma Ltd, which is located in Varisam (vill), Pydibheemavaram, Srikakulam. The pharma unit has a 30 MW solar power plant, which was shown to the final year EEE students. During the visit, students were provided with practical knowledge of renewable energy and demonstrated the advancements in Solar Energy Technology.
SCADA which is used for monitoring all electrical values such as Generated Current, Voltage, Power, and Frequency is explained to the students in a very detailed manner. Students were also briefed about the role played by the solar power plant, space for installation, manpower requirements, and maintenance costs. The industrial visit was very informative to the students as it helped them develop skills regarding Solar Power Plant.
