The Department of Civil Engineering went on an industrial tour to the Godavari Water Treatment Plant at Narava in Visakhapatnam. The visit was truly informative and provided students with practical exposure to how municipal water treatment operates. They went through the process of coagulation, sedimentation, filtration, pumping, and distribution.
Additionally, plant officials explained unit operations, water quality monitoring, and regulatory requirements. The visit helped students relate water treatment, public health engineering concepts, and operational practice. The students were thankful to the Management, Principal, and Dean for facilitating the visit.
