Miracle Educational Society aims for the overall development of the students and it is possible only through practical and theoretical experiences. As a part of it, the Department of ECE conducted an industrial visit to the students at the Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical & Engineering Training (CIFNET) which is located near Fishing Harbour, Visakhapatnam. The students were able to gain practical exposure to the navigation system which includes RADAR and GPS systems, with a better understanding of the frequency ranges that are used in locating enemy ships or detecting missiles.
The students also learned about life rescuing techniques by using SART (Search and Rescue Transponder). They also gained good knowledge about marine “VHF EQUIPMENT” a combination of both the transmitter and receiver units which provides detailed information on the antenna working principle and the type of antennas used.
